GWEN IFILL: McChrystal's removal raised questions about the general, but also about overall administration policy in Afghanistan.

Eliot Cohen, a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, he served in the Bush administration -- and David Ignatius, a columnist with The Washington Post who has covered the conflict extensively.
